LOTR: Schwag On Xbox 360 Marketplace

I’m guessing the release of a Lord of the Rings theme on the Xbox 360 Marketplace is to help promote the release of the Blu-ray versions of the movies, which I believe came out today.  Don’t forget to pick your discounted copy up to see the franchise that garnered 17 Academy awards from Amazon.  I wish these themes were free like some of the themes you can find on the PS3, but that would go against Microsoft’s policy of, “make it where you can”.

For those interested here is the sales pitch for this theme right from MS.

“The astonishing journey into J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth in director/co-writer Peter Jackson’s epic The Lord of the Rings Trilogy redefined fantasy filmmaking and won 17 Academy Awards® including Best Picture. Experience the stunning environments of Middle-earth including Mordor’s Mount Doom, Bag End the home of Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit’s Shire, Rohan’s magestic Keep, Gondor’s old and embattled capital Osgiliath in ruins, enchanting Elven refuge Rivendell, Lothlórien home to Galadriel and the forest elves and Grey Havens the point from which the elves passed into the Undying Lands.”

Man I’m a dork, but not that big of a LOTR geek to drop 240 MS points.  I have some accessories for my avatar to buy dagnabbit!

You’ve been enlightened…
