Warner Bros. has released the first official teaser for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and it is magical to say the least (yes I’m a master of crappy puns). The trailer gives a brief overview of the film’s overarching plot, which will feature Newt being tasked with a major role in stopping the spread of dark magic. Young Dumbledore makes his debut, which sets up his ties to Newt, and how he is using him as a special agent of sorts. Of course, thanks to Dumbledore’s inclusion in this film and trailer you’ll also get to return to Hogwarts for the first time since the Harry Potter films ended many years ago.
I do like what this trailer shows, because it seems like this sequel will be much more action oriented and sinister in its narrative, so it may be a bit closer to the tone of the Potter films than what we got in the first Beasts film. Either way, I’m excited for November, so head on up above to check out the new tease.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hits theaters on November 16, 2018.
