It’s no secret that there is DLC coming for Mario Kart 8, the smash hit, must-have title for the Nintendo Wii U. What was just announced is that one of the tracks included with the first batch of DLC is one based on the NES 8-bit classic Excitebike. And you don’t even have to worry about falling off your bike or overheating!

The 2D race track is being transformed in a gorgeous fully 3D battleground for racers, complete with randomized ramps and speed bursts that change every time you play (except in time trials). The first DLC pack has three characters, four vehicles, and eight new tracks with a scheduled release sometime in November.
