Marvel and DC Heroes Evolve In These Chibi-Style Art Pieces

Jeff Victor

We’ve featured the work of  Jeff Victor  on this site before, because his chibi-style art is too awesome not to share with other fans of geek art. I haven’t been over to his blog in quite sometime, so I decided to give it a look, and low and behold I found some geek art that needs to be shared with our readers.

Jeff has a series in which he takes an actor and portrays their evolution in Hollywood by detailing their major character roles. For example, here is one he did for Carrie Fisher. These new pieces follow the same format, but they’re a bit more bobblehead-like, or chibi. He’s taken a few DC characters, as well as Marvel characters, and depicted their evolution over time from the pages of their first comic books, to their appearances featured in film or TV. I really dig how he also evolves the coloring of these characters, because the early versions all have that dotted color scheme that was featured in comic books from the 60’s and 70’s. You can check these evolutions below.

You should also head over to Jeff’s blog to check out more of his work.
