Gazillion Entertainment has curiously posted a new trailer and screenshots for a game called Marvel Heroes 2015.
It appears that Gazillion is secretly re-launching the Marvel Heroes MMO as Marvel Heroes 2015 according to forum chatter on the official Marvel Heroes website. One official moderator who goes by @Doomsaw essentially stated that the game will go through relaunches of this nature to ensure it’s inline with the greater Marvel Universe.
Doomsaw – “Yes, this is an annual thing we’re going to do each year, along with planning a year ahead with the Marvel editorial team to tie in with story content. You’ll see some nice surprise things in a few months…”
There is a mysterious countdown clock on the official site as well, which when hovered on spells out 2015, but the timer is set for four days from now, so until then the Marvel Heroes universe will just have to wait for the official details. It’s still not clear whether existing Marvel Heroes players will have to buy into Marvel Heroes 2015, or if their accounts will be upgraded, but smart business would hint at the latter option, so hopefully that’s the case.
In the meantime though we did score a teaser video for Marvel Heroes 2015, as well as a batch of new screenshots. You can check out the teaser above, and the screenshots can be found after the break. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
[UPDATE] The official press release just came out with more details:
