A suspicious job listing over at EA for their BioWare Montreal studio has the rumor mill a spinning. This studio is where Mass Effect has been developed for the past two titles, and more than likely will be where the 3rd iteration in the franchise will be made as well. The job posting is for a Multiplayer programmer to work on their flagship title. When they say flagship it has to mean Mass Effect right?
Check out these exerpts from the job post and ponder the possibilities:
We are working on Mass Effect, one of the industry’s most beloved and acclaimed franchises, as we build our way toward becoming a fully self-sufficient BioWare studio. If you want to help us achieve our mission of delivering the best story-driven games in the world, and you dream of being part of a dynamic, talented and focused team, now is the time to get on-board.
Multiplayer Programmers ensure the game engine and game systems work reliably and efficiently in a multiplayer environment. They work with both the front and back ends to take existing single player user experiences and make them multiplayer safe.
Who knows, it does sound interesting and Mass Effect would definetly make for some awesome multiplayer experiences. Only time will tell, so stay tuned for more. I’ll try and wade through the BS and bring you the truth. You’ve got Mass Effect MP on the mind…
