Bioware has recently announced a new full fledged third person shooter for the iOS platform called Mass Effect Infiltrator, which will allow gamers to earn points towards their Galactic Readiness ratings for Mass Effect 3.  A few screenshots for this iOS game have been posted below, and if Infiltrator is anything like some of EA’s other mobile games such as Dead Space, then it’ll be an amazing experience for iOS users.  Bioware hasn’t officially confirmed if your rewards in this iOS game will translate into the Mass Effect 3 console game, but I’m thinking that they will because of the Galactic Readiness points.

These GR points are also linked to the multiplayer component in ME3, and the MP piece is supposed to translate to the single player experience, so I don’t see why the GR points earned in Infiltrator won’t either.  You can check out the official press release, and a few screenshots for Mass Effect Infiltrator on iOS below.  There isn’t an official release date at this time, but I’d imagine it’ll be within the next week or two.  You’ve been digging the Mass Effect 3 tie-ins…

Press Release

“Take the all-out galactic war in Mass Effect 3 on-the-go with Infiltrator, a fully-featured iOS third-person shooter showcasing stunning graphics and authentic weapons and powers from the Mass Effect series.”

“Inspired by the deep and immersive Mass Effect 3 universe, in Infiltrator players will help to free prisoners from a hostile Cerberus base and will receive rewards for collecting evidence of Cerberus’ crimes along the way. Every completed rescue and intelligence discovery in Infiltrator will increase a player’s Galactic Readiness rating directly through the Galaxy at War system in Mass Effect 3.”
