Mass Effect 3 Returns to Earth Sometime During the Holiday 2011 Season

Sorry for the delay folks, I apologize if you’ve already seen some of these trailers, but I’ve been locked up in captivity since Saturday and haven’t had a chance to post.  I did have a hell of a time at the Steelers game yesterday, so my lock-up wasn’t that bad.  Anyway, all kinds of reveals went down over the weekend during the 8th annual VGA’s on Spike.  One of those reveals dealt with the next installment in the Mass Effect franchise, Mass Effect 3.  EA kind of blew their load a little early with a post on their store about Mass Effect 3 on Friday, but the official debut trailer dropped during the VGA’s.

As expected Mass Effect 3 looks to be headed to Earth, which seems to be overrun by the reapers.  I have no clue who the dude is sniping in the tower, but he knows who Shepard is, so he must be an important figure.  I can’t believe that this game is going to be dropping in 2011 considering that ME2 hasn’t even been out a full year yet.  I have faith that it won’t suck rooster balls, but the development cycle seems a little rushed.  Check out the debut below.  You’ve been ready to finish Mass Effect 3 since you played Mass Effect 1…
