Microsoft Hiring 15 New Employees for “Next Big Halo Project”

A posting has gone up on the 343 Industries site for 15 new jobs that would be involved in a Halo project.  343 is the division of MS that took over the Halo franchise once Bungie cut ties with Bill and his merry band of money makers.  The jobs range from multiplayer designer to software engineers, so if you’re a gamer geek and have actually done something with your passion, head on over to this link and apply today.

I’m just pulling this prediction out of my arse, but I would bet that the next Halo game will build upon the Master Chief’s legend.  It’ll either pick up where he left off, sitting in space with Cortana, or maybe it will focus on some of his adventures from the books.  I know, like I’m not stating the obvious!  Stay tuned for updates as they come in, but I wouldn’t expect a big reveal until E3 2011.  You’ve been given hope that Halo won’t die off…

From 343

“343 Industries is forging the future of Halo, expanding and building upon one of the most important and successful franchises in gaming history. Halo is a rich and exciting universe that encompasses AAA video games, New York Times best-selling novels, world-class animation and much, much more. Just you wait. 343 is set to revolutionize gaming and entertainment by putting the industry’s fiercest talent in one room and diving for cover. Come be part of the awesome.”
