Microsoft’s Game Room: Weekly Title Updates to Begin in Late April

Piggybacking on the last post I’d like to continue to promote the Game Room.  Although these old-school games really aren’t my bag, I can definitely see how the Game Room would appeal to a certain population of gamers.  Currently there are only 31 titles to play in the arcade, but Microsoft has commented that they have nearly 1,000 titles in the queue for release.

They plan on releasing a batch of these titles weekly, although not until sometime in late April.  Pricing depends on how you want to play your games.  We’re talking $5 to play a title on both the Xbox 360 and Windows Live, $3 for one platform only, and $.50 if you just want to play once.  I remember when real arcade games only cost $.25.  Now we’re paying $.50 to play them on-line, but at least there’s cheves to be won.  They’re much better than winning tickets in a real arcade to buy a pencil that ends up costing you $10.

You’ve been enlightened…
