If Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor somehow managed to slip your game radar (which must mean your radar is turned off), then think of this announcement as a second chance to experience one of the best games to come out of 2014 once more. Shadow of Mordor provided gamers with one hell of an experience when it came out, and its legacy is sure to live on for quite some time as one of the best uses of the Lord of the Rings name.

Not only did it provide a rich open world to traverse, but it also brought along the incredible nemesis system which resulted in near endless gameplay possibilities thanks to some fantastic use of procedural generation. The point you should take from this, is that Shadow of Mordor is indeed a very good game and if you did skip it, then there would be much worse moves than picking up the feature complete game of the year edition.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GoTY Edition is available right now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and includes all current released DLC.
