Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has a lot to live up to.

The original Mirror’s Edge wowed critics and consumers alike with its fluid movement and emphasis on quick decision making over gunplay. With the upcoming release of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, many are interested in hearing just how developer DICE intends on improving the parkour-inspired gameplay pioneered by its predecessor.

Luckily, a new “developer diary” has been uploaded to the official game’s official YouTube channel, in which some of Catalyst’s key developers discuss the efforts that have gone into creating a new movement system that blows the original’s out of the water.

Elements such as free-range movement, momentum-based traversal of the environment, and the inclusion of iterative music are just some of the topics discussed by DICE in the video. Check out the whole diary above to get all of the details.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is set to release on May 26, 2016.
