Monster Hunter: World – Ancient Forest Gameplay

Monster Hunter: World was something that got me so pumped this year at E3, and after seeing a full hunt, I’m still pumped but have minor concerns. I don’t know how I feel about having the map be something that you have to pull out when you want to look at it, rather than have it be on the screen at all times. It’s probably not going to be a huge issue though, and I’m just clinging onto old stuff from past games.

The scout flies and the detective part of each hunt seems really cool, it’s more like an actual hunt when you have to track down your prey! I appreciate that the game has more elaborate features than the handheld games, and that it plays a little bit more slowly. The game seems much less “hack-n-slashy” this time around, and for being a console game that you have to sit down and play, I think that’s a great thing!

Check out the video above and let us know what you think of the new features and if you’re as pumped for the game as I am!
