If you need to download a multitude of media apps on a regular basis to stop feeling sad, then Microsoft comes bearing good news. Xbox Live’s Major Nelson has revealed that over 45 new apps are making their way to the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Larry Hyrb’s proud obsession with Twitter, that can be seen in the video above, has led to Twitter being integrated within many of the Xbox One’s pre-existing and upcoming features. People watching TV on their Xbox One can see what’s trending on Twitter with absolute ease and without interruption. Anybody quick to point out that they already own a capable smartphone is reassured by Microsoft that the convenience of this feature won’t take your attention away from your TV.

Some of the new apps that are also coming to Xbox Live include: Vine, HBO GO, ShowTime Anytime, Comedy Central, Major League Gaming (MLG), and many others that can be found on an extensive list here. With the apps said to launch at the end of the holiday season, it will extend the catalogue of apps available to Xbox owners by 25%. Watch Major Nelson’s video above and keep your eyes open for more announcements from Microsoft at E3.
