MS CEO Hints That PC’s Will be Getting Their Own Kinect Like Device!

Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, more or less confirmed that MS has plans to roll out an official Kinectish device for their PC Windows platform.  When asked about a potential PC version of Kinect at CES this week Ballmer said, “We’ll support that in a formal way in the right time, and when we have an announcement to make, we’ll make it.”  Sure it’s your typical corporate top secret answer, but I’d say it’s probably going to be a reality.  Especially considering that the Kinect for Xbox 360 has sold 8 million units in just 2 months!  That’s 3 million units more than they initially forecast!  Someone is going to get a reach around over at the Microsoft Accounting Department.

Does anyone have MS stock?  I wonder if it jumped at all after the sales figures were released for the Kinect?  Oh well, that would take too much work on my part to research it, so we’ll just pretend that I’m right for now.  I’d imagine some sort of PC-Kinect announcement sometime around Q2 – Q3.  You’ve pretty much conceded that the Kinect will change our lives in ways we only thought were possible in the movies…
