NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 – How to Quickly Earn Baller Bucks by Farming to Unlock More Player Cards

NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 is now available, but if you picked it up, you may have noticed that its roster of players is pretty light to start with. In fact, you’ll be lucky to be able to use two to three teams in the game’s new Season mode thanks to the lack of unlocked players when you first play the game. You could always fork over another $9.99 to unlock the full roster in one fell swoop, but if you feel like that’s a price too high to pay, then you have to resort to grinding to farm yourself some of the game’s in-game currency, which is called Baller Bucks.

Baller Bucks are required to open card packs, which range from Bronze to Gold Tiers. Bronze packs run 1500 Baller Bucks, Silver packs are 3,000, and Gold packs are 5,000. You earn Baller Bucks by playing the game’s available modes (Exhibition, Season, Multiplayer, 3-Point Contest), but outside of one of the modes, the process of earning enough Baller Bucks can be a slow grind.

Luckily, the 3-Point contest, which can be shortened to one round at 70 seconds long, can provide you with a decent rate of Baller Bucks farming. You can expect to earn anywhere from 100 – 135 Baller Bucks every two to three minutes in this mode, as well as a 700+ Baller Bucks bonus every time your own player rank goes up, which early on takes about 10 – 20 minutes to do while playing the 3-Point contest mode. Using this system you should be able to at least buy a Bronze card pack every 20 minutes or so, if not a bit quicker when your player level is low.

This is still a grind, but one that yields you what you want the fastest, so if you don’t want to cough up another $9.99 for NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 to unlock the full roster, this is your best bet to get card packs quick so you can at least use more than two or three teams in the game’s other modes.
