NBC is Bringing a ‘Taken’ Prequel to the Small Screen

Liam Neeson took the world by storm with the surprise hit Taken back in 2008, which seeded two follow-ups in 2010 and 2014. Now NBC has plans to bring the hit series to television screens as a prequel to Bryan Mills’ movie life.

Taken (the movie) explains that Mills has a “very particular set of skills” that the show will elaborate on during his time with the CIA and turn him into the deadly aggressive father we’ve all come to know and love. It’s going to be tough for a major network to put out a show like this, given the restrictions surrounding language and violence, but here’s to hoping they can create a quality show that doesn’t lose the grittiness of the films.
