Netflix’s The Witcher Gets First Book Infused Trailer

Netflix has dropped the first trailer for its live-action The Witcher series, and quite frankly, it looks interesting, but I’m sure not all fans will be 100% happy with it. Book fans will probably enjoy it much more than the gaming crowd, but overall, I feel it has a nice balance of both worlds.

I will say that Cavill does look the part mostly. He could probably have used more stubble, but for the video game version of Geralt, he looks pretty spot on. The whole Ciri plot seems vastly different than the video game take, and based on the trailer, I’m leaning towards the video game version being more exciting. It seems they’re kind of making Ciri a damsel in distress in the Netflix series, which is far from how she’s portrayed in The Witcher 3.

In the end, the trailer showed promise, so I’m more eager than ever to check out this series. At this time, Netflix is only saving the series is coming soon, so stay tuned for more people.
