A new “Becoming Peter Parker” featurette for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been released, and it details the journey Andrew Garfield took to become the new Spider-Man.
In the video both the cast and crew discuss what it’s like to have Garfield as the infamous web-slinger, and how much he’s embraced the role since taking it on in 2010. Andrew himself is also interviewed in the video, and he details the changes he brought to the role for the sequel. One thing is for sure, and that’s the fact that Spider-Man will be a much more loved character in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and less of a vigilante threat that the police and citizens don’t appreciate.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens on May 2, 2014 in both 2D and 3D formats.
About The Amazing Spider-Man 2
In “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy — between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away — but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
