One last regular week of comics for the year, and holy hell is it a monster. Marvel and DC had a few threads they felt that they needed to close out by the end of the year, and since next week is bare bones that makes this week the receiving end of a ton of books. And the Uncanny X-Men new issue has an Alex Ross 75th anniversary variant, so of course it’s going to be the background for this week’s post! Can you name all of those X-Men?

DC finishes up the “Godhead” story with entries from Red Lanterns #37 and Sinestro #8, along with new books for Aquaman #37, Arkham Manor #3, Batman Annual #3, Catwoman Annual #2, Deathstroke #3, Flash #37, Gotham by Midnight #2, Grayson Annual #1, Harley Quinn #13, Justice League Dark #37, Secret Origins #8, Superman #37,and Superman/Wonder Woman #14. This week is so massive from DC that Superman #37 isn’t in the highlighted group and that’s a book I’ve been burning the torch for since Geoff Johns and John Romita, Jr. took over.

Marvel completes their company-wide event AXIS, along with shipping out new issues for All-New X-Factor #18, Captain America and the Mighty Avengers #3, Daredevil #11, New Avengers #28, She-Hulk #11, Superior Iron Man #3, Uncanny X-Men #29, and All-New X-Men Annual #1.

Image has new issues for Black Science #11, Outcast by Kirkman & Azaceta #6, and Super Dinosaur #23.

Marvel’s latest event completely finishes off with the last issue for the core series. Remender has raised the price of poker in the last few issues with the events involving Deadpool and then Carnage. Will the finale have even more reverberating events that will affect the Marvel Universe?

Flash #37 (DC)

Writers: Robert Venditti + Van Jansen, Artist: Brett Booth, $2.99

The Flash is currently stuck IN the Speed Force, which looks kind of like a weird Savage Land, while the future-Flash is back in current-Flash’s time. Oh, and did I mention that future-Flash is out to kill everyone that will eventually do wrong? He’s like a Terminator+Dexter….and he’s the Flash.

Green Lantern Annual #3 (DC)

Writer: Robert Venditti, Artists: Billy Tan + Rob Hunter, $4.99
Writer: Robert Venditti, Artists: Billy Tan + Rob Hunter, $4.99

The latest Green Lantern family event comes to a close with three issues this week but the Green Lantern Annual #3 chapter is the capstone.

Robin Rises Alpha #1 (DC)

Writer: Peter J. Tomasi, Artists: Andy Kubert + Jonathan Glapion, $4.99

Writer: Peter J. Tomasi, Artists: Andy Kubert + Jonathan Glapion, $4.99

It’s been a very long and very emotional journey for Bruce Wayne who finally can put all of this behind him. But what exactly does this mean for Damian Wayne?

Revival #26 (Image)

Writer: Tim Seeley, Artist: Mike Norton, $2.99
Writer: Tim Seeley, Artist: Mike Norton, $2.99

She previously hit him with an 18-wheeler, but now she has to trust him? Things just keep getting more mixed up!
