New Details and Images Released for Disney’s Star Wars Themed Resort

Today Disney has released a few new details and two motions graphics for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which is the upcoming Star Wars themed area complete with a space hotel and attractions. The Disney Parks Blog provided the following update:

The immerse experience offered at this hotel will stand out among all of our resorts around the globe. As you can see, families visiting this resort will board a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them during their voyage through the galaxy – and every window has a view of space!

The resort will also be seamlessly connected to the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, allowing guests a complete Star Wars experience. Guests visiting the resort will be welcome to participate as a resident of the galaxy by dressing in Star Wars-inspired attire.

Yeah, sign me the hell up! The resort will be close to the Galaxy’s Edge attractions too, so you’ll also be able to check out the Millennium Falcon and explore a new planet called Batuu.

There’s no chance in hell that this experience will be cheap. I’m estimating a week stay will cost upwards of $7,000 just to stay at the hotel and live on the resort. I bet a full week of Disney with this included could push the cost upwards of $10,000. Either way I’m committed to going at least once, I don’t care if it takes a year to wait, but I will be staying in this hotel and enjoying the attractions before I die.

You can check out an additional motion graphic from a few weeks ago to get an even better idea of what this Star Wars haven will look like.
