New Elite Dangerous: Horizons Screens Tease Planetary Landing and Future Updates

The Frontier team has released a few new screens and details for Elite Dangerous: Horizons, which is the game’s new season of expansions that will kick off this fall with the Planetary Landings update. It should be noted that the team made a cheeky jab at another expansive space game that rhymes with Snow Band High, by stating that the Planetary Landings update will get you walking on an alien planet in 2015, which you can see below.

 Yup – this year a space sim will get you as close as possible to walking on an alien planet.

One must enjoy subtle jabs between developers of similar titles.

Anyway, in addition to the Planetary Landing update, Elite Dangerous: Horizons expansions will also include the following content, which will roll out over the next season:

  • Multi-Crew, so you can fly co-op with friends;
  • Commander Creator, so you can breathe life into your pilot
  • Ship-Launched Fighters, so you can carry a second ship into every fight
  • Bobbleheads, so you can fly in style;
  • New loot and crafting system.

Finally, Elite Dangerous will be hitting the Xbox One next week, which will include the CQC multiplayer mode.

The new screens below showcase these updates, so head on down below to check them out. Also, if you missed the EGX live stream, or the Bobblehead videos, you can check them out after the screenshots below.
