Microsoft and 343 have released a few new screenshots and a bit of artwork for the Halo 5 multiplayer beta that kicked off on December 29, 2014 to give fans a look at what the beta will offer during its first week. In addition to the new screens a few art pieces were released to give gamers a look at the design process that led to the finished map environments.

During the first week of the beta gamers will be able to play competitive matches on Truth and Empire, with Truth being an homage to Halo 2’s Midship map. Empire is a bit more open and features a cityscape to do your killing on. You can check out all of the new images after the break.

The Halo 5 multiplayer beta will run until January 18, 2015.
