New Hellboy Featurette Focuses on Film’s Practical Effects and Makeup

A new Hellboy featurette has been released, and it showcases the film’s focus on using as many practical effects as possible. This includes costumes and masks for the monsters, as well as Hellboy and the other lead stars themselves.

It really looks like the filmmakers went out of their way to use as many practical effects and monsters as possible, which should result in a pretty authentic feeling film. I’m not a VFX hater, but sometimes these days they are relied upon too heavily, which can result in a wonky looking image on screen. That doesn’t appear to be the case for Hellboy, but you can see for yourself above.
