New Hobbit Production Video Features the Logistical Nightmare of Filming

Peter Jackson and company have just posted the fifth Hobbit production video, which takes a behind the scenes look at the logistics of filming such a huge project, as well as featuring a return to Hobbiton.  It really is mind numbing to think about everything that needs to be accounted for when it comes to shooting Middle-Earth in real life.  The amount of coordination needed to pull off some of the shots for this film are ridiculous, but at least it shows that Jackson is taking the same great care with the Hobbit that he did with Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings novel.

Re-watching all of the extended LOTR films, and their special features, definitely reminded me of how magical those movies were that Peter put out, so after watching a featurette like the one below it makes waiting for the first Hobbit movie that much harder.  Check out the latest production video from Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit films below to see a few familiar faces, and a whole bunch of new ones.  You’ve been thinking that poor old Pete has gained all of his weight back and made his hair turned grey by taking on this massive project…
