Dwight Yoakam – Second Hand Heart

Dwight Yoakam has had a revival in the realm of country music. In 2012 he took a step back to look at his options, and put out 3 Pears, going back to his early roots from when he first broke into country radio in the ’80s. Second Hand Heart is a continuance of his re-dedication to his former sound.

Halestorm – Into The Wild Life

The Grammy Award winning hard rockers return with their third studio album this week and experiment with various styles compared to their previous releases. Lzzy Hale leads the way with her powerful voice and cutting lyrics as the band continues to grow.

The Wombats – Glitterbug

(The 2:30 mark of the video above is the reason there’s an “Explicit Content” warning, so proceed as you please). The Liverpudlian group returns with their third studio album as they continue to make waves around the indie world and have kicked off a tour in support of their new album. While writing this, I booked my ticket to see them in Philly next week, so that should be fun. You can check out their tour dates here.

The Damnwells – The Damnwells

The Damnwells are releasing their fifth studio album, this time choosing to go with a self-title as the name for the new album. This is the first album that reunites the original lineup after guitarist David Chernis and drummer Steven Terry had previously left the band after 2006’s Air Stereo.

Take some time to listen to some new music; you just might find your new favorite band.
