New NBA 2K18 Video Details Majorly Improved Character Graphics

2K has put out a new developer diary today for NBA 2K18 to show off the processes used to create the near lifelike looking NBA stars featured in the game. Let’s just say that 2K started from scratch this time around while designing each and every player. All of their faces were completely redone, as well as their bodies, which are now accurate for each player, even down to their stretch marks. The eyes and teeth also react differently to lighting, which combined with the other updates does seem to point to NBA 2K18 being the best looking 2K sports game to date.

2K also announced today that on September 8, 2017 fans can get a taste of NBA 2K18 early with this year’s version of  “The Prelude,” a free downloadable experience that begins your MyCAREER on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players can kick-off their NBA 2K18 experience prior to the game’s launch and continue where they left off when the game officially releases one week later.

NBA 2K18 will be available on September 19, 2017. Fans can pre-order NBA 2K18 at participating North American retail and online vendors, ensuring they receive their copy and in-game bonuses four days early beginning on September 15, 2017.
