A new behind the scenes featurette has been released for Pacific Rim that takes a look at the film’s use of digital imagery and effects. The spot features cast and crew interviews, as well as behind the scenes footage of some of the sets that were used in the film.

It’s truly amazing to see what a little green screen work set against real world sets can produce. Some films rely too heavily on CGI, while others may not use enough, but Pacific Rim definitely employed the perfect balance between the two.

If you love the art of film making and digital wizardry you should definitely catch the latest Pacific Rim featurette after the break.

Pacific Rim is currently in theaters. Read our review of it here.
