Activision has released three new screenshots and a shot of Kraven the Hunter for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game, which is being developed by Beenox, the same studio behind the original The Amazing Spider-Man. Just like the original this sequel will follow the events of the film sequel, but it’ll feature its own story separate from the Andrew Garfield starring flick. This mechanic worked well for the first Spider-Man movie game, so it should also work well in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The game will be set in an open world version of Manhattan, and it will utilize a third person perspective. Players will be able to web sling their way around town while utilizing the new “Hero/Menace” karma system that will reward or penalize heroic and non-heroic actions.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to release alongside the film sometime this spring, and it’s being developed for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC, Wii U, and the 3DS. Head on down past the break to check out the three new in-game screenshots, and the Kraven the Hunter reveal image.
