Frictional Games’ first-person horror title, SOMA, has the ability to build tension without doing much. This is largely due to the game’s impressive environmental design and atmospheric underwater world, which was put on display in a recent trailer.
The latest SOMA trailer functions as a guided tour through some of the game’s barnacle-encrusted, seemingly abandoned rooms and hallways. There is some narration that implies past horror, which fits right in line with the psychological elements of Frictional Games’ past efforts.
It’s always great to see a game pre-release and know that it’s got some serious spooky potential. SOMA has this in spades. Check it out when SOMA releases for PC and PS4 on September 29, 2015.
