New Teaser For The Lego Movie Features a Stubborn Batman

Warner Bros. has released a new teaser trailer for The Lego Movie that features a hilarious take on the competitive relationship that exists between Batman and Superman. Even though these two are on the same side Batman has never fully trusted Superman, and at times he may have even harbored some jealous thoughts towards Superman’s abilities. If you’ve played Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes then you’ll be extremely familiar with the tone of this trailer. It’s a very cheeky short scene, but long time fans of the two DC Comics juggernauts will surely giggle at the interaction.

If anything this teaser proves that The Lego Movie will be incorporating the humorous non-serious take on its subject matter just like the classic Lego branded games from Traveller’s Tales. It also features a cast full of A-listers such as Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, Liam Neeson, and Morgan Freeman, so this isn’t some half-assed kids movie. Batman and Superman aren’t the stars of the film though as that responsibility falls on Emmet, a rather unextraordinary Lego figure who gets mixed up in an extraordinary adventure. Along the way he’ll have to work with all sorts of different Lego characters to take down a mysterious threat, which will surely offer up plenty of laughs and heart.

The Lego Movie is set to hit theaters on February 7, 2014. While you wait for the release date and the next official trailer why don’t you head on down below to meet the Batman.
