New ‘The Last Jedi’ Spot Clears Up the Tricky Rey Edits With New Dialogue

A new TV spot for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been released, and it offers up a bunch of new Rey dialogue while also clearing up on the more controversial shots from the trailer released in October.

The new dialogue spoken by Rey is a plead to Luke to help her even though she knows Kylo failed him. You also get to see Luke speaking behind her as she meditates in the scene where the ground cracks. What’s even more interesting about this spot though is that it confirms that Rey is talking to Luke when she’s asking for someone to show her the way. She’s not speaking that line to Kylo as he reaches his hand towards her as it was implied in the October trailer. You can see the exact same lighting and environment in this spot as she speaks the Kylo line to Luke, so Rey is definitely talking to him and not Kylo. We all knew that anyway, but this confirms it.

Head on up above to check out the new The Last Jedi spot!
