In the wake of some cryptic, in-universe tweets over the weekend, Sledgehammer Games has premiered a trailer for Exo Zombies, the new co-op mode included in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare‘s “Havoc” DLC.

Based on the base game’s Exo Survival, Exo Zombies incorporates elements of the massively popular Nazi Zombies mode from Treyarch’s Call of Duty titles, namely World at War, Black Ops and Black Ops 2. The trailer shows plenty of chaotic co-op action, and reveals that the Atlas Corporation is responsible for unleashing a deadly new breed of zombie on the world, ones that are augmented by advanced, versatile Exo suits.

A group of four players will team up to stop the outbreak, controlling characters portrayed by the likes of John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich), Bill Paxton (Aliens), Rose McGowan (CharmedGrindhouse), and Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead).

The expansion also includes four new multiplayer maps – Sideshow, Core, Drift, and Urban – as well as the AE4 directed energy assault rifle, and the AE4-Widowmaker variant for Season Pass owners.

“Havoc” launches as a timed exclusive for Xbox One and Xbox 360 on January 27th (with other platforms to follow), at a cost of $14.99 individually or $49.99 as part of the Season Pass.

Check out the trailer above.
