Available next month, Video Games: The Movie is an in-depth documentary about the history and progression of video consoles and games. Beginning with Atari and working its way to current systems, the film interviews a variety of heavy-hitters in the video game world as they discuss their experiences with video games and how they got involved. The Kickstarter-funded project is produced by Zach Braff (Scrubs, Garden State) who has his own feature-length film in the works (Wish You Were Here).

The film will be available in select theaters, and on the movie’s website the day of its release on July 15th. Check out the trailer above in the mean time.
