New Video Game Releases for the Week of 3-3-19

The first week of March is relatively stale in the world of new video games, and Devil May Cry 5 is set to take full advantage of the lack of competition come Friday.

If slaughtering demons with a variety of hellish powers and weapons wielded by even more hellish characters doesn’t do it for you, Left Alive may spark some intrigue. It seems to be all about surviving in a wartorn, mech-filled landscape, which is no surprise given the creative minds behind it. Imagine Metal Gear Solid meets Armored Core meets Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

Here, see it for yourself:

Audica is a new virtual reality rhythm game coming to PC Thursday (in Early Access) and is particularly exciting due to it being developed by Harmonix. I’m still waiting patiently for some Amplitude DLC (hey, I can dream), so this may just have to do in the meantime.

As always, the bold titles are the games that piqued my interest — everything is for PC unless stated otherwise.

The author Zachery Bennett

Zach’s eternal preoccupation with video games became cemented at an early age. His first memorable journey away from reality began with a text-based Football game on a dirty Apple II; he’s chased fantasy ever since. Having took English classes as electives in college, Zach decided to pull the trigger on a merger between the two obsessions.
