The hype surrounding Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been relatively light compared to year’s past, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be this week’s number one seller in new video game release land. Eager fans of the series can get their hands on it early with the Day Zero Edition that drops on Monday for all available consoles and the PC version.

Outside of the COD release most of the other new titles are smaller projects, or re-releases of existing games on new platforms. The Wolf Among Us is dropping for the Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and Vita as a standalone retail release. The Binding of Isaac Rebirth is coming out for the PS4, PC, and the Vita. The BioShock Infinite: Complete Edition bundle is releasing for the Xbox 360 and the PS3, while Rocksmith 2014 Edition is coming out for the Xbox One and the PS4. MotoGP 14 is also coming out for the PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3, but not the Xbox One.

Nintendo fans can look forward to the releases of Disney Planes Fire and Rescue, Harvest Moon 3DPier Solar and the Great Architects, and The Swapper. Finally, PC gamers will have a chance to play Defenders of Time, and Depth.

Our Recommendation

The choice this week is pretty easy unless you loathe the COD franchise. Advanced Warfare is definitely the biggest draw, but if you’re fed up with the annual shooter, then you may want to try out one of the collections, or bundled re-releases in The Wolf Among Us and BioShock Infinite: Complete Edition.
