Another awesome trailer for this Summer’s ‘X-Men: First Class’ has hit the International stage, and it mainly deals with Magneto, or Erik. It’s a great look into the relationship between Magneto and Charles Xavier before they become mortal enemies. From this trailer you can already tell that the pain of Magneto’s youth is clouding his thoughts on how to best use his mutation. Charles is heard narrating the trailer with words of wisdom that Magneto obviously doesn’t heed. I’m hoping Magneto’s turn to the Darkside isn’t as cheap as Anakin’s was in ‘Revenge of the Sith’, and we actually get to see him SLOWLY make the conversion to the forces of evil.
I still can’t believe that George thought that lifelong fans of his movies would actually buy the scene where Anakin becomes Darth Vader in literally 3 minutes! F*ck! Sorry, I get extremely emotional when I reflect on what was done to my beloved Star Wars, and I’ll never except the prequels as legitimate Star Wars lore. Anyway, from what I’ve been seeing I think ‘X-Men: First Class’ has potential to get the X-Men franchise back on track, at least on the big screen. Hopefully they learned what not to do in a prequel from watching the mess that became Episodes 1, 2, and 3 of the Star Wars saga. Check out the newest International trailer for it below. You’ve been thinking that I need to get over the whole prequel debacle…
