Yesterday Microsoft announced that its previously exclusive mobile title, Halo: Spartan Assault, will be headed to the Xbox One on December 24, 2013. Today a few new screenshots have been released from the game running on the Xbox One that feature some co-op action. Due to the nature of the game (top-down mobile) the visuals really aren’t anything to write home about, nor do they really offer a next-gen feel, but this is a mobile port, so it is to be expected.
I played Spartan Assault at E3 in June on a tablet, and actually enjoyed the unique Halo experience that it offers, so there’s a great chance that I’ll be grabbing it for the Xbox One. For $15 there’s enough content to justify the price, and if you purchased the game before you can grab it for a discounted price of $4.99. If you’re unfamiliar with Halo: Spartan Assault you can preview some screenshots from the Xbox One version after the break.
Halo: Spartan Assault is now available for Windows phone and tablets, and will release for the Xbox One on December 24, 2013. It will also release for the Xbox 360 sometime during January 2014.
