If toting your current Nintendo Switch around has become too cumbersome for you, Nintendo just offered up a solution. The game and console maker has officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch Lite, which is a portable-only version of the Switch.
The Switch Lite will be a bit smaller than the standard version, and it won’t come with a kickstand or detachable Joy-con controllers. It also will not be able to connect to a TV to output its display. It truly is meant to be a handheld version of the console due to its lighter form factor.
It can still be used in Tabletop mode if you have a pair of Joy-cans laying around, but otherwise it’s a dedicated handheld console.
It will be available in three standard colors, and will retail for $199.99. It is set to hit retail on September 20, 2019.
Nintendo also unveiled a special Pokemon edition called the Zacian and Zamazenta Edition, which will hit retail on November 8, 2019.
