Things are only just starting to heat up for Nintendo gamers. The release of the New Nintendo 3DS and two top-tier games give handheld gaming fans a lot to be excited about this past month, but console gamers have been somewhat left out. Nintendo being typical Nintendo however is set to change this thanks to everybody’s favorite pink ball shaped hero.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse brings the much loved controls of Kirby Canvas to Nintendo’s Wii U. It provides a fun and colorful experience for Kirby fans of all ages and is surely a title not to be missed. 3DS players have not been completely forgotten about this week however with a bunch of indie games to choose from.

Our Recommendation:

Nintendo Wii U owners should jump on the latest Kirby game, but aside from that little gem, not much is available. If the cutesy look of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is too much for you though, then perhaps retro shooter Axelay will hold some interest.

Those playing on the 3DS have few choices this week (nothing compared to last week) for what to add. Since it’s Pokémon, Pokémon Shuffle seems like an obvious consideration, thanks to it being free. Whether it’s any good or not remains to be seen but, being free to play, perhaps gamers should be able to see for themselves.
