Nintendo Weekly: New Releases for January 8th – January 15th 2015

After the quiet (slight understatement) list of releases last week, it feels great to see many more choices this week for Nintendo fans to pick from. Aside from the obvious hit coming yet again from the blue bomber, Wii U fans will also be getting access to the loony co-op game Chariot from Frima Studio. Maze however looks like an interesting title from a genre somewhat untouched. Regardless, Wii U players have plenty to choose from this week.

3DS players however have even more between this week and next, highlights being the quirky puzzle strategy game Adventures of Lolo. For those of you looking for a more action oriented experience, take a look at 3D After Burner II next week for some aerial combat action. Much like the Wii U’s offerings however, gamers should have enough to decide on before the next update hits.

Our Recommendation:

Chariot looks like a fantastic and beautiful co-op game, and so grabbing this one should definitely be considered, even more so if you happen to have a regular co-op buddy. On the 3DS front though 3D Afterburner II certainly looks to be the most exciting of the bunch. If you are after something more casual however, then this week’s eShop choices are plentiful.
