At first glance, Not A Hero looks like yet another platforming hipster pixel game set to make more waves in the indie gaming world. Once the game starts playing though, it becomes pretty clear that the title is so much more. Naturally coming from Devolver Digital and developer Roll7 (OliiOlli), Not A Hero has some awesome potential behind it.

Play as one of 9 unique characters with each having very different styles of play, and go to toe to toe with a wide range of enemies in multiple environments. Cleaning up the criminal scum in the city will be no easy task, but if anyone can do it then it will be this bunch of unlikely heroes.

Have a watch of the above video featuring a let’s play from one of the games main characters. Strange, but it still manages to provide some perfect charm and humour as expected.

Not A Hero will available on PC on May 7th, with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita dates still to be confirmed.
