In a recent interview with E! News Samuel L. Jackson made it clear that he wants to be in the new Star Wars trilogy even if Mace Windu got his arm chopped off, and force lightning zapped into oblivion during Episode III. I hope that the care takers of Star Wars VII and beyond missed this interview, because the idea of Mace Windu returning is a bad one. It would only further cheapen the saga, which was nearly killed for most of us after the three awful prequel movies debuted.
Considering that Sam was able to trick George into giving him a purple lightsaber I wouldn’t be surprised if he tricked Disney into resurrecting him for the new Star Wars trilogy. God help us all. You can read up on Sam’s pitch after the break. Let’s all hope the Force doesn’t align for this one. You’ve been not liking the idea of Mace Windu’s return to Star Wars…
“I’m not surprised but totally geeked by the idea of there being more Star Wars,” Jackson told E! News. “It’s like, okay, Obi-Wan was dead when episode four started, so maybe everyone thinks I’m dead and we’ll find out what happened to Mace Windu. I can come back as one-armed or a one-handed Jedi that’s still around that didn’t actually die.”
“I could do that or be a ghost hologram. I don’t care, I just want to stay associated with the franchise.”
