Official Ender’s Game Trailer Makes Me Want to Read the Book
Once again it’s taken a movie/TV show to open my eyes to another intriguing book that I never knew existed. The first official Ender’s Game trailer was released today, and its content is right up my alley. It’s set in the future, has aliens, spaceships, meta-humans, and a whole lot of special effects, which is the perfect movie recipe for a science fiction junky. Ender’s Game is based on Orson Scott Card’s novel of the same name, which he first published as a short story back in 1977, but then made it into a full fledged novel in 1985. It stars Han Solo and a bunch of kids, so it can’t be that bad right?
Ender’s Game is set to hit theaters on November 1, 2013, so if you’re like me and never heard of this property before, you should definitely check out its first trailer after the break. Now I just have to find time to fit in a reading in between A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons. You’ve been wondering why I don’t know about sci-fi/fantasy franchises like this until they get dumbed down into visual form…
