Today the trailer for the upcoming Avengers film was leaked online. The Marvel/Disney film was supposed to debut the trailer during next week’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Marvel cleverly played off the leak on twitter, blaming Hyrdra.
First Marvel pulled the video, but since we live in an era with Internet and social media, they decided that they might as well post the official trailer, which you can see above. We’ve also posted some choice screen caps of the Hulkbuster armor and Ultron after the break.
With the return of the previous Avengers, the sequel adds Aaron Johnson (Kick Ass), Elizabeth Olson (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) who play Quicksilver and The Scarlett Witch, with James Spader as Ultron.
The plot of the film focuses on Tony Stark’s peacekeeping initiative, which obviously doesn’t work out and will eventually lead to the Civil War. The Steve Rogers storyline suggest that the next Captain film will feature Iron Man and begin the Civil War storyline that pits superheroes against each other.
The trailer is also set to be shown during the previews of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, and is due out May 2015.
