Mad Catz Interactive announced today that they will be bringing fighting fans everywhere the officially licensed Killer Instinct fight stick, aptly named the ‘Killer Instinct Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2’. Mouthful of words aside, the official controller will have buttons specifically mapped for the game and will be fully decked out in Killer Instict art work.

The Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2 controller was initially announced at this year’s E3 conference and was used during Microsoft’s Xbox Media Briefing for Killer Instinct. The FightStick has been praised for it’s pitch-perfect controls that allow for the responsiveness that die-hard fighters seek.

Darren Richardson, President and CEO of Mad Catz, spoke about the controller’s initial E3 reception as well as the partnering with Killer Instinct, stating:

“E3 greeted us with a positive reaction to our Tournament Edition 2 FightStick and we’re pleased that the controller will provide passionate fans of Killer Instinct with an even richer gaming experience. We earlier commented how the enhanced performance of the Xbox One opens up additional scope for innovation and believe that the Killer Instinct Tournament Edition 2 FightStick perfectly illustrates our commitment to the next generation of entertainment.”

Official images of the Killer Instinct edition controller have not been released yet, but Mad Catz has promised that it will be available for the Holiday season, coinciding perfectly with the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox One and Killer Instinct.
