OnLive, the cloud based gaming company, is moving into the productivity arena with their new OnLive Desktop app, which will enable iPad users to stream Windows 7 apps like Microsoft Office to their tablet.  This Thursday iPad users will be able to download the free OnLive Desktop app, which will then enable them to use MS apps such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and the ability to save their work in the cloud.  Adopters of this new technology will get 2GB of free storage and access to the above mentioned apps plus a few more, and some games.

There will eventually be a Pro version that provides 50GB of cloud storage and priority access to the service for $10 a month.  I’m definitely going to check this new app out on Thursday, because I am extremely satisfied with OnLive’s cloud based gaming app.  Stay tuned for more details.  You’ve been given another tool to be productive on the iPad you lazy a*s…
