Overwatch Takes on the Olympic Games

You’ve got to hand it to Blizzard, the venerable studio has a knack for keeping their games fresh.

Today, Blizzard announced the ‘Overwatch Summer Games.’ Essentially an Olympic-inspired series of events, Overwatch’s Summer Games will transform the first-person shooter into a much more athletic endeavor.

According to the Summer Games announcement trailer, Overwatch’s landscape will be that of athletic shorts, new character skins, and a Rocket League-like Brawl called Lucioball.

The trailer does a great job of showing off what to expect from Overwatch’s Summer Games, which will take place from August 2-22. Get ready to get sporty, because this seems entirely more interesting that the vast majority of the actual Olympic Games.
