My second day of E3 coverage kicked off with the Nintendo E3 2012 media briefing, which was less than informative.  Just like Microsoft’s presser I didn’t feel like Nintendo showed off anything that we as gamers didn’t already know about.  For a company that has said they’re shifting back to a focus on the hardcore gamer I questioned the direction that they showed us they’re going in.  NintendoLand?  For real?

After the presser I headed over to the E3 show floors for the first time, and like a kid in a candy store my eyes grew so large I thought they were going to pop out of my head.  Holy smokes is this event an amazing sight to see for the first time.  Imagine an over sized arcade in the middle of a techno club, that’s about as close as I can get to describing this event.

During my first day at the show I had the pleasure of playing Dishonored, touring Ubisoft’s booth and playing AC3 and Far Cry 3, as well as checking out some cool EA mobile games at their private suite.  To top this already amazing day off I finished off the evening at the VIP Halo 4 party where I got to play Halo 4’s new Spartan Ops mode, as well as a few war games matches.  To make that event even more awesome than it already was I just found out that I made Microsoft’s official press site for the party via a pic someone took of me playing Halo 4.  Win.  Check out my pics from this action packed day at E3 below.  You’ve been wishing you got to play Halo 4 too…
