It seems that Rashard Mendenhall isn’t enjoying the death of Osama Bin Laden like the rest of his country. He let loose some pretty scathing tweets about the operation that took down the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks on the WTC. Mendenhall more or less made it clear that he doesn’t support killing known terrorists, and that he doesn’t completely believe that what happened on 9/11 was all Osama’s doing. Rashard may have some supporters on his conspiracy tweet, but I don’t think too many people agree with him on his Osama shouldn’t have been killed tweet.
Rashard tweeted, “What kind of person celebrates death? It’s amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We’ve only heard one side…” Seriously? Maybe Mendenhall has taken too many hits to the head, or was dropped as a baby, but how can any rational person think that Bin Laden wasn’t a scumbag? We have heard him speak, and he gloated about the 9/11 attacks, and called for all Muslims to rise up against the American Infidels. I’d say that’s a good enough reason to cheer Bin Laden’s death. I mean this dirty f*ck used his harem as a human shield to protect himself, so does someone like that really need to be heard? I don’t think so Rashard!
He followed that thoughtful tweet with this one in regards to the 9/11 attacks, “We’ll never know what really happened. I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition style.” At least I can semi get behind this one, because the devastation caused on 9/11 is suspicious when you take into account all of the evidence. Now I’m not trying to start a conspiracy, but just look at the attack on the Pentagon and try and tell yourself that a 757 did that. It’s almost impossible, but I’ll stop there before I get accused of being a Commie, so let’s get back to the Steelers’ RB.
This isn’t the first time Rashard Mendenhall made some brainless remarks on his Twitter page either. He jumped on board with Adrian Peterson when the Minnesota running back compared the NFL to modern day slavery. Mendenhall tweeted, “Anyone with knowledge of the slave trade and the NFL could say that these two parallel each other.” Really? Were slaves given multi-million dollar contracts to pick cotton? Did they live in mansions that would put their plantation owner’s home to shame? Did Eli Whitney give slaves endorsement deals for pimping his cotton gin? I think not. Why do athletes feel the need to get political? They need to stick to what they do best, which is competing, or in Mendenhall’s case blowing the Super Bowl against Green Bay.
What are you gonna do though? Free speech is free speech, but maybe people like Mendenhall need to live in a country like Pakistan that doesn’t support free speech, so he can see how good he has it by being American. He also shouldn’t forget that the people who wiped out Bin Laden are of the same breed that keep this country safe and allow ignorant athletes such as himself to have a Twitter account in the first place. If he thinks he’s being treated like a slave he should just quit the league, but I’m sure those millions he has earned from the NFL have something to do with him not wanting to be a “Free” man.
What a dummy? Take a look below at the rest of Mendenhall’s Osama Bin Laden tweets to get an even clearer picture into the mind of this spoiled athlete. At least the Steelers Organization doesn’t have Rashard’s back, “I have not spoken with Rashard, so it is hard to explain or even comprehend what he meant with his recent Twitter comments. The entire Steelers organization is very proud of the job our military personnel have done and we can only hope this leads to our troops coming home soon.” Amen Art! You’ve been thinking that you’re not going to draft Rashard Mendenhall for your 2011-12 Fantasy Football Team…
Rashard Mendenhall Tweets Post Bin Laden Operation With EB Commentary
“I believe in God. I believe we’re ALL his children. And I believe HE is the ONE and ONLY judge.” (He did his judging through that soldiers bullet)
“Those who judge others, will also be judged themselves.” (Bin Laden did judge, and this was his judgement)
“For those of you who said you want to see Bin Laden burn … I ask how would God feel about your heart?” (How did he feel about the Crusades in his name)
“There is not an ignorant bone in my body. I just encourage you to think.” (Maybe you should take you’re own advice)
